omigodomigodomigod, i saw the most beautiful thing today. i was driving down the street with the maple trees on my way to work today, and the breeze was making it rain maple leaves all over the place, just this cascade of yellow and red leaves gliding down across the street. i mean just *boggle*drool*gush* wow. one of those things where even "i wish i had a camera" wouldn't work because it was the motion that was so incredible. maybe "i wish i had a video camera" but it was something about being there in the middle of it, leaves raining around the car as i drove down this piece of road, that made it so special. a sand-painting, i guess; transitory. never happen the same way again.

i had a good giggle at the guy who was vainly trying to rake his lawn, too.
