What do you think the world would be like today (both socially and physically) if no one had ever developed nuclear fission technologies?

LOVE the poem. XD

The war between the U.S. and Japan would have lasted a fair bit longer, and resulted in more American casualties (and perhaps less Japanese casualties). The Cold War might never have happened, meaning the hippie movement might have remained a mere subculture. Since much of the war on drugs was reactionary to that movement, perhaps marijuana and LSD and such would still be legal. Back on the war front, without his excuse (a nuclear program would not have been possible without the existence of fission technology), Bush would not have invaded Iraq.

So, maybe the world would've been a better place. *Shrug*

My reasons for this are complex and not fully examined, but I believe the populations of most "industrialized" countries, with the notable exception of China, would not have grown quite so large so fast.

It has less to do with the technologies themselves than with the educational, scientific, and social 'booms' they caused.

I think

There would be a higher infant mortality rate, much crappier hospitals, less people because many woulddie from freezing and heat stroke, smaller buildings, more pollution(beause we'd use more fossil fuels), More of a separation between economical classes...basicallt "The Worst Parts of the Bible"...
