Well, that's something, anyway. The whole thing about "taken as a whole, in context" is still pretty vague -- by whose standards? Who is responsible for judging? But at least the idea of "interest == support OMG wrong" has been addressed.

"We're going to be extra careful in making sure we avoid these sorts of miscommunications internally" -- um, in what way? "Be extra careful" is also vague, even a touch unprofessional.

I agree. I also thought the original announcement was extremely vague and didn't make clear what was going on, not to mention errors in its syntax. Whoever posts these announcements needs to be more careful in their choice of words.
