memoryanddream needs a hysterctomy after 1.2kg+ of fibroid tumors (thankfully benign) were found in her uterus. She has a part-time job with no insurance and her application for financial help was denied, so she needs to raise at least $2600 to pay for the surgery. Pardon my ignorance, but if the tumors are benign, then... what kind of health risks does she have by not having the surgery?

Severe pain (and bleeding, I seem to recall was mentioned in a locked post elsewhere), inability to eat/drink due to nausea... if you actually read the main saga post at the top of the http://giveneyestosee.com/blog/hysterectomy/ tag (linked in the OP) you'll see that though benign in the sense of "not malignantly cancerous", she surely couldn't tolerate them any longer.
