I had "Snape vs. Snape" playing on repeat in my head for about two solid days after hearing it Wednesday. One of the perils of pop music, I suppose: it's extremely catchy. I woke up Friday morning and thought blissfully, it's finally gone! Of course, having this thought was the precise trigger that started it up again.
Friday afternoon I thought I heard "Walk Like an Egyptian" being played over a grocery store PA, and that worked to drive it out for a little while.
Yesterday I managed to use enough of my brain on other things (including the noble pursuit of lol macros) that it seems to have stopped, and thinking about the song doesn't seem to be bringing it back. In fact, I am momentarily unable to get a grip on the melody line, although that may be because I've only been conscious forty minutes.
But then I had the misfortune to hear my mother say "banana".
