Late to the news on this one because I only just heard about it through the latest newsletter for Two Guys SpaceVenture - RIP Gary Owens! Besides the narration in various Space Quest games, I have fond memories of him on Laugh-In and of course that one episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. ("Uh, in the early days, back when, uh, when Space Ghost was first born, they let me play Space Ghost. And that was, what, what a thrill." "Uh, who's 'they'?" "Mr. Joe Barbera, and Mr. Fred Silverman, gentlemen who chose me to play you." "Nobody plays me, Jack! I play me.")
(Besides this sucking on its own, it will likely mean even more delay in the production of SpaceVenture, because he had not yet done the voice recording for the game and now they're going to have to find someone else. Botheration.)
