Most bottled water is drawn from the same sources as local municipalities and maybe... maybe... put through an extra filtering process or two, but what you get from the store is essentially the same thing you get from your household faucets. Several years ago, I made the decision to stop buying bottled water as much as possible. I have a refillable water bottle that I take with me when I go out. If I want to make sure it stays cold, I put about 2-3 inches of water in the bottle and freeze it. Before I go out I fill it with cold water from the fridge and the ice in the bottom keeps it that way for a good long time. Do I not buy bottled water at all? No, Because sometimes I run out in my own bottle and don't have a readily available location to refill it. But if I buy a bottle of water once every 2-3 months that's a lot!
