So, after a couple hours of unsuccessful googling to try to find emails or web pages of some people I knew in high school (except Bob Zasio, whose name is so unique that all of the dozen or so hits were either his own page, or references to the genuine article), I decided to try to find myself to see if perhaps I was asking too much of the net. Though it's a tad inconsistent because I also have a less common name than do the people I am looking for, and because I know exactly where I am and what I have done and am thus able to instantly pinpoint correct references (as opposed to having very little clue what any of them have done with their lives after 1996 or so), I was amused anyway.
One of them is in the staff listing on the De Anza Library web page. No surprise.
Another is someone's postcardx comment where they said they were puzzled that they could not find the name on the return address I had used in the database. (Whoops. I've done that sometimes - unthinkingly used a return address label rather than handwriting the name I'm under at postcardx - but they could have searched for the address and found me just the same, I think. ^_~)
I'd forgotten about this one - not the song itself, but having submitted it to this webpage. lifitz@wco.com (long since invalid) was the first email address I ever got, back in 1995.
Another two are buried in this SCA listmail archive and also this one somewhere, and are actually my mother writing, not me -- in the lifitz@wco.com days, we shared the address as the only one in the house aside from my dad's CompuServe one.
The very last is no longer legitmate. I used the /Athens/9942 site back in 1997-1998 or so, the first time I made a website, but abandoned/closed it long ago. Someone else has taken over that particular address, but something must be stuck in Geocities' craw or something, since it's still associating the address with my name in some way. (I don't see my name on the page anywhere...)
