I walked straight into the edge of a sign in a parking lot last night while walking out to my car after work. See, it's like this: dark edge (back of sign lacks reflective paint) on dark backdrop (sky) with blinding headlights coming up the campus access road I was crossing (why, to get to the other side, of course). I bent to dodge the sign as I knew it was there, but apparently I didn't bend far enough. WHACK. Into the edge. In the center of my forehead. Leaving an abrasion of the skin in a nice vertical line about 3/4 inch long up near my hairline.
