Yeah, pretty much. I mean, lack of any kind of real emotions and personality is pretty much what I've complained about myself for the past five years or so...

The air outside is at just the right temperature that it almost feels like I'm breathing nothing - it feels neither warm nor cool going into my nose. Weird sensation.

After about four days of normal operation, computer exhibited the "spontaneous reboot" symptom that had precipitated so many problems a few months ago when I tried to email myself some stuff this morning. This maybe-to-probably diagnoses the slot as the problem, since both RAM cards caused the same symptoms. Of course I wasn't going to hang around and see how bad it got this time; when I came home from work I promptly switched the same memory card into the neighbouring slot (the middle one of three, hitherto unused). We'll see how it goes.

I just got some Oregon quarters in my change today.

I think theirs is much prettier than the design that made it onto the California quarter.

There's just something off about the proportioning and the composition. JOHN MUIR IS HUGE! (...hhhhhHHHHHERCULES! ...if you think he's long, try me: longest. ...or maybe it's just forced perspective. Not in the future, not a war... anyway. </mst3k>)

When they had those internet polls going around, I voted for this one:

(at this scale it kind of looks like there are some atomic bombs going off in San Francisco -- those are supposed to be palm trees.)
