I don't get the whole "go up and down between at most 3 notes" thing as a vocal style in general, but more importantly, I am not at all sure why it bothers me in VNV Nation (which I used to think was da bomb y0, but now am mostly annoyed by with the exception of a few songs), yet it is somehow endearing for The Smiths...

Envelope: Addressed to Serials Librarian (serials = a title published on some kind of schedule, such as one every year). Sure, fine. We don't have one, per se, but it's a reasonable job title. At our library I get this kind of mail because I am the filter to decide what actual librarian to distribute it to (based on subject area).

Letter inside: Addressed to Serial Librarian. This sounds like something else entirely...

One Laptop Per Child

Interesting technology twist on "no child left behind", if you ask me. Plus, Linux.
