AUGH! The Pantheacon schedule is huge to print out! AUGH! It looks like various things I want to go to are overlapping! ([livejournal.com profile] devafall and/or [livejournal.com profile] tiggrrl, didn't you say something about a performance of some kind? is that not on, or am I not recognizing the name, or was that never a formal thing in the first place?)

Edit: Yeah. I have one case where there are two things I would like to attend, and two major trainwrecks where there are three. Fortunately, [livejournal.com profile] tyrsalvia's Erisian ritual (I had no idea there was going to be one every day, put on by different people) doesn't conflict with anything else I want to do, so I should be there.

Saturday at 11:00 am (I may not even be able to get up for that, but I get up at 10:30 for work, so what the hey):
Ella Young -- California's First Druid: "Ella Young, Irish mystic, poet and storyteller, came to California in the 1920s bringing a wealth of Celtic magical knowledge. Learn more about this remarkable woman through her own words. Presented by Mara Freeman: Mara Freeman, British author, lecturer and storyteller, has been immersed in Celtic magical traditions for more than thirty years. She is the author of Kindling the Celtic Spirit."
The Triple Soul in Feri Tradition: "You are a sacred trinity, both human and divine. Using movement, trance and song we will learn to align our soul and become more ourselves, standing whole, beautiful and shining. Presented by T. Thorn Coyle: T. Thorn Coyle is a Feri tradition priestess, dancer, activist and musician."

I'd like to get a glimpse of Mara Freeman and hear her speak, but I also want to do the same with Thorn Coyle. Just to make it harder, the subjects are about equally interesting to me.

Saturday at 1:30 pm:
Children of a Darker God: Gateways and Byways: "This round-robin discussion group for those that find themselves dealing with 'dark' gods/goddesses will be focusing on passages this year. What and how we've been dealing with them and where they seem to lead us and those around us. Presented by Robert & Brenda Daverin: Bob & Brenda Daverin have been involved in Celtic Reconstuctionist/Celtic Restorationist (CR) paganism for over a decade. Brenda is the current president of Imbas (http://www.imbas.org), a CR educational group, and Bob serves as a Brehon in the group." The Secret History of Neopaganism: The Neopagan movement is older than you probably think -- and its sources aren't what you've been told. This entertaining and informative talk covers three centuries of modern Paganism and their implications for today's Pagan community. Presented by John Michael Greer: John Michael Greer, a longtime practitioner of magic and Druidry, is the author of many books on occultism." Ritual Tools & the Witches' Craft: "Join award-winning author Raven Grimassi for a talk and demonstration of the tools of Witchcraft. The presentation will include 'awakening the memory' and alignment through elemental nature. Presented by Raven Grimassi: Raven Grimassi has been a practitioner of Witchcraft for over 30 years. He is also an award-winning author of nine books on Witchcraft and Wicca."

The middle one is leading there, since the more I read the description of the first one, the more I think that what is actually going to be talked about is not what I thought it was, and I'm not sure how much I would get out of the latter since I'm leaning away from the standard tools (as tools, anyway, as opposed to symbols) and definitely from the usual elemental correspondences, so... but the use of the phrase "awakening the memory" intrigues me and I wonder just what he means to talk about there.

And Sunday at 9 (as if I were really going to be getting up at that time):
Urban Pagan Coffee Klatch: "Does the city speak to you? Do you find beauty in urban ruins? Do you use the web as a ritual tool? Does your spirit guide prefer an offering of caffeine instead of fresh spring water? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be an urban pagan. This will be a cozy gathering for those who identify as urban pagans. We will start with the question of what is an urban pagan. Where we go from there will be up to the group. So grab a cuppa and join us for a moderated meeting of the minds." How to Create Powerful Rituals: Learn what makes one ritual powerful while another is weak. We will discuss how to create and conduct rituals with lots of 'juice.' Bring your experiences and questions to discuss. Presented by Jenny Sill-Holeman and Dennis Holeman: Jenny and Dennis are initiates of the Feri tradition with years of experience in creating rituals both private and public." The Folklore of Paganism in Old Britain: "Set a spell with Granny Tippy, who has a hundred tales to tell of Old Britain: the Dorset Ooser, Lych Way, the Yell Hounds, the Witch's Ladder, and much more. Presented by Amber K, author of True Magick, Covencraft, Candlemas, etc.: Amber is a Wiccan priestess, author of True Magick, Covencraft, and other books. She is a former First Officer of COG and the Executive Director of Ardantane in New Mexico."

Last one is leading but first one is something I'm really interested in getting perspective on; the fact that it's Amber K presenting the last one makes me a bit suspicious as to its content, but other than that, the examples given point to something I'd be very interested in.
