I think there's something I'm not getting here:

Ella is short for EllaOne, the brand name of the pill in Europe. It is effective for preventing pregnancy up to 120 hours following unprotected sex [...] EllaOne is comprised of ulipristal acetate, an antiprogesterone drug that prevents pregnancy by delaying ovulation. Though ulipristal acetate has similarities in chemical action to mifepristone -- also known as RU 486 -- it is not intended for use as contraception or as a method of terminating an ongoing pregnancy. Clinical trials of both Plan B and Ella, published recently in the Lancet, showed that Ella prevented twice as many unwanted pregnancies as Plan B.

1. It "prevented ... unwanted pregnancies" but is "not intended for use as contraception"?

2. If it "delays ovulation" (rather than some other action), how can it possibly prevent pregnancy for "up to 120 hours" if you've already ovulated (worst case, recently before your unprotected encounter)?

Didja get the number of that donkey cart? $2250. Now, that's not the one I have; the so-called "Sethos edition" was actually published in several forms in 2002 and 2003. This copy on offer is of the last, the black "Sethos-Behena", and what I have is the "Deluxe" of the 2002 editions (no picture on the page there, but it looks similar to the "Standard" except for the quarter-binding in cream-coloured leather). I have no idea if mine is more or less valuable than the "Sethos-Behena", and I'm sure Weiser paid less for it than they're turning around and selling it for, but geez. (I should probably point out that when I bought it at release I recall paying a couple hundred dollars for it.)

"Those rights were recognized and did exist in California. I submit that they should have existed before the California Supreme Court decision and before Proposition 8, but you can't come in here and say I don't know and I don't have to prove anything and I don't need any evidence except for some people writing in books who won't come into court and subject themselves to the judicial process."
