Firefox 8: Does anyone know if there's a way to turn off the dotted placeholder icon that is now being used in place of missing favicons/site icons? I have those turned off entirely by about:config settings (since they bloat places.sqlite so hugely), so now I'm seeing this little dotted square everywhere. A quick Google on the matter doesn't seem hopeful - it looks like they changed something further down than the level tweakable by about:config - but maybe someone knows something I don't?
