(no subject)

Google Maps app for Android question: A while back I noticed that the compass icon that used to appear in the top right, so that you can easily reorient the map to point north again if you rotate it, had disappeared. I frequently rotate the map by accident when pinching or zooming, and it's annoying to have to correct this manually. I've looked all over in the menus but can't find it as a feature or setting. Anyone know? (It's currently version 9.65.1, IIRC without tablet in hand; the Play store says the most recent update was November 6, so probably I have that, but this has certainly been going on longer than that.)
