SHUT UP, MR. ALLEN.
Not just because of the content of what he was saying, although I often found that pretty awful, but he had to be cut off by the moderator on just about every question, it felt like. My liveblog (? it was a chat window) of this at the long-suffering
enotsola says that five times, plus one FUCK OFF MR. ALLEN (I forget exactly what that was about - maybe his habit of starting answers with "As your next governor of California, I will..." or the fact that a lot of his answers amounted to waving his dick at the other Republican candidate).
Okay, two comments: I wish they had gone with 60 seconds per answer instead of 30. I know they're trying to get through a lot of questions with a lot of candidates, but it meant they'd ask questions that would call for some specifics in response and then the candidates would not have time to actually get around to any, all while speaking very fast. I was left with the impression that the majority of answers were not addressing the question, which in a lot of cases was true anyway (Let me tell you, as your next governor of California, I will totally avoid the question you actually asked), but I think longer time might have helped in others.
