Last night I had one of my "boys from high school" dreams, in classic form (Bob Zasio was the subject of this one, frozen in time as he looked at age 17, even though I've actually seen fairly recent pictures of him). So I think today might be a good day to start the count of recurring themes that I mentioned in some post a while back; continue for a month (3/23-4/23) and see what I get.
Count as of 4/06/04:
Boys I went to high school with: 1
"Dream extra" boys: 2
Michael: 1
enotsola being indifferent to me: 1
Being lost at a university, etc.: 1
Unexpected themes:
Jeremy: 2
enotsola in fact caring: 1

Date: Mar. 29th, 2004 02:06 pm (UTC)From:The first one involved being in some random apartment somewhere (like a "dream extra", but a location).
The second involved three boys and a girl sleeping in my bed, and something about a clock radio that was too loud and had three dials on top, two of which controlled different aspects of the volume, and the third of which was "tone" and one end of the scale there was "velvet". There were some random kisses (interestingly, all three of the boys were, although cute, normal geeky types, and wearing slightly... unfashionable glasses), so I think this falls into the "dream extra boys" category.

Date: Apr. 6th, 2004 02:57 pm (UTC)From:1st dream - Walking in a campground/site, a la 4QF, Harbin, Gaia's Oasis. Walked through a spot with a circle trod in the chaparral, about 8-9 feet across, and some kind of statue in the east. Later walked up through (from underground) a building and upon emerging there was something resembling the Lodge at Minaluta and the "quad" in front of it.
2nd - Being at a universit, parking in the parking garage. Flipping through a packet of papers in my car and being surprised to see grades for Sunday classes I hadn't remembered taking. (Don't remember if the grades were failing or not.) Some wandering around trying to fine a computer to get a schedule printout from, because I didn't know where I was supposed to be or when. Being confronted by a student calling herself Kristin Marcil (!) but who looked like Samantha Broome, about an 88% grade she wanted me to change (apparently I had been a student teacher or something). Seeing a grade of B in some drawing class that I did remember taking.
This makes me think of an additional "common theme" - wandering around a college not knowing that I'm supposed to be in a class, forgetting to go, or being unable to find it.

Date: Apr. 6th, 2004 03:07 pm (UTC)From:The vampire was male with short, spiky bleached blond hair. I have an image of him purposely dragging his hands along a huge saw-like thing (like a nasty circular saw blade with big pointy teeth, but straight like a hand saw) to cut them, and this was part of the "embrace" somehow. Also an image of him awakening in a sort of alley corner, looking up, and a person in a long black coat came with one of those 5-gallon water cooler bottles as if to offer him water ("cruel, no? when what you need is blood?" - there was a kind of narration laid over a first-person perspective; I got the impression it was a TV show), but ended up pouring it all over him, and as the camera switched to an overhead view, it became a big white plastic bucket (10 gallon? whatever size those are) and the pourer walked away; he was supposedly an angel ("he knew what you were"), and both he and some guy I saw in the airport (see, this is the mixed up bit) were that one guy who comes into the lab who is always printing resumes double-sided and talks too fast and jumbly.
In the airport, we greeted each other and clasped arms, but he got mad when I stayed too long browsing books (I hadn't brought one for the five-hour flight, so wanted to buy one), and wouldn't come back when I yelled after him. He was afraid he was going to miss the plane. (The bookstore/coffee shop was a very dimly lit affair, being sort of a corner of a warehouse-like "terminal".)
Another part of the TV-show-like part of it was animated, and the guy who was later a vampire was show fucking a girl out in the forest (? landscaping?) and really that's too kind of a word, because he was masturbating with her as a prop, picking her up in all kinds of odd ways (he was standing upright), slapping her legs together, and pushing her over and thrusting really hard and stuff.

Date: Apr. 6th, 2004 03:10 pm (UTC)From:1. Something about being in an apartment with Jeremy.
2. Being in a big theatre, watching first someone else doing a show of some kind, then later being up on stage myself along with Aaron, Jeff, Sarah, and I'm not exactly sure who else. The stage mutated into the Homestead stage at that point, and our own stuff really sucked, Mrs Clarke was yelling at us and shaking her head in disbelief. For some reason the white backdrop at the back was missing or rolled up and that was one of the unbelievable mistakes (wtf is that thing called? augh!).
I wish I had written down more details at the time. I only wrote enough to trigger a memory when I went back to write a couple hours later on the same day. That would have been fine if I had actually DONE that. oops.
