stones

I have two lovely stones which wanted to come home from Four Quarters with me, which is fine... and having some physical reminders of connection to a land where I have had magical experiences is fine.. but shouldn't I be looking for stones and such from where I currently live if this is the sort of tradition I want to be working in?

(On the other hand, maybe it's a subtle manifestation of the uprooting that's currently working through my life, the end result of which - in this cycle anyway - is my moving to Ontario.)

===There are other ways to work with the local environment. Also take into account that you are thinking of moving. It may be that you are workign with those stones to adjuct to the influences of this side of the continent, and those stones happened to be the ones that are interested in a partnership.

*nods* Kind of what I was getting at with the "on the other hand..." comment. Half of me says "silly person, be where you are" and the other half says "you're not half as acclimated to that other land as you think you are, shut up and take the help."

Southern-central PA isn't southern-central Ontario, but it is the Atlantic as opposed to Pacific zone, to use RJ's terms...

i can't speak to what you should or shouldn't be doing in your own area, but I do note that you seem (purely in my opinion) to crave a deeper connection with the Walking the Thresholds event itself, and by extension the place where it takes place, so perhaps these are meant to be a tool for reconnecting with that flow?

Or in a more pessimistic way of looking at it (ain't that my specialty? *grin*), I may be wishing for the past, trying to recreate things that really can't be again. I mean, what, really, compares to physically meeting a being one calls one's soulmate (WtT#2) and then managing to get handfasted to him while standing by for a friends' handfasting (#3)? *chuckles* Seriously though. It is also a manifestation of feeling unlike or unconnected to most of the people themselves, which may or may not be an actual "problem" as opposed to just "a thing that is".
