Applied for this position at Laurier today. Aside from being on a larger scale, this is almost exactly what my prior job experience has been, and it's at a university (read: unionized, sweet benefits, probability of quite a liberal dosing of holidays), and and it's local! They don't specify what they want to pay, but given the job description and the location, it's sure to meet my minimum requirements and I may even get $40-45k. They also don't specify the schedule but it wouldn't kill me to get there for 8:30 or something, given the distance. I wonder if the thing about needing to be in contact with various vendors that led Tom to ask me to come in at 10 AM "because of needing to talk to people on the east coast" could work to my advantage here - like "we need you to work something a bit later, since that's still business hours on the west coast"? *chuckles* Anyway, I visited the place today to get a feel for the campus and ask its genius locus if it would have me, and have done some other Work for help from Elsewhere on this one, but mojo from folks in meatspace is appreciated too.
