This is getting silly. Except it isn't.
Preparing fire for barbecue. Waiting on said fire. Have sudden urge to go out into the rest of the garden. Have slightly horrified reaction at what my mother's ministrations have done. Touched the birch tree. Felt guilt I haven't talked to it in a long time. Wandered around the grass.
Found a crow feather.
Which I wouldn't have found if I hadn't heeded the impulse to walk around instead of going back inside after checking on the charcoal.

shiari found in the parking lot at Buck's two weeks ago and went "Oo, Eshari, do you want a raven feather?" rather than addressing it to anyone else that was there. ("Raven" was more likely than "crow" given the calls we had been hearing all weekend.)
YES I GET IT. I HAVE NOW EXPOUNDED TWICE IN A HUMOUROUS MANNER UPON HOW A CROW WOULD BE THE FORM OF MY PATRONUS, AND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THIS AND MY OWN INTERNAL "FETCH". I AM IN A STATE OF ACCEPTANCE. RLY.
...But don't stop giving me feathers.
