By the sounds of things, I have worn out YET ANOTHER power supply fan. (CAPSLOCK RAGE!) This one was new in ... March? April? Something like that. By "yet another" I mean that I've done this at least twice before, and the other times were not even on this computer setup, it was a totally different box, mobo, etc etc.

This computer doesn't get run as much as the ones at work, which are on about ... 13/5 (like "24/7"), and which were new. Um. Years ago, mostly. The oldest are... 2002? Something like that? And to my knowledge we have never had to replace any of their fans.
Well, I'll dust it at least, and see if that changes the acoustics, but I'm really hearing a kind of bearing-vibratey noise. fuckity fuck. I don't think we have any more spare fans. Trip to Weird Stuff may be in order. Grr.
