interview date set

enotsola's interview will be February 6th.

Actually kind of an annoying date, since it's a Wednesday. This is going to eat up a whole week of my vacation, probably, between flying to Canada, traveling to Montreal (is it practical for me to fly directly to Montreal and get him there some other way? I dunno), showing up at oh fuck in the morning for the interview, going back to Kitchener, and flying back to the US. And in the week before PantheaCon too. February is going to be one expensive month.

At least we know that now they give visas by taking your passport and mailing it to you afterwards (similar to the Canadians, to whom I had to mail my passport and provide a prepaid envelope for its return if I wanted it back any faster), rather than the amazing hassle it was going to be if they decided not to issue it on the spot (as apparently was once often done) and we had to show up at the consulate a second time, especially if that second time was, like, the following week, because then I'd have to stay over instead of going back to the US and oh man.

(Actually, my presence is not required at this -- in fact not allowed in the interview itself in the consulate at all, apparently! WTF?. But since I am the one with the Earth moneys, in a practical sense I kind of have to be there. Also, moral support. And OMG like when else am I going to go to Montreal?)

I have silk underwear already, actually. I've been to Canada in December, January, and March. It's not a big deal. *shrug*
