Here in Laramie, it's hazy like L.A. was stereotypically known for in the 90's. It's so weird to have big city-level haze in such a tiny, isolated town.
And yet, I know that ain't got shit on the level of haze and darkness for y'all in the PacNW :-(
I saw a picture collage on Facebook showing the progression of haze in downtown Seattle and, holy shit, the darkness in the last pic was so much worse than I'd been able to imagine.
Fortunately I'm about 550 miles south of Portland, about 700 from Seattle, down on the south end of San Francisco Bay. Our air has been bad, but "only" in the 200s, not 300-400 or more like some places up there are seeing (and it's actually good right now). Although it's pretty awful right now about 125 miles east in Yosemite and other places in the Sierra foothills. :-/
