Huh. I was today years old when I learned about HTTP 406 Not Acceptable. Apparently Doordash doesn't like something NordVPN is doing to my net traffic, because disabling it lets me load the page. All I wanted was to see if my favorite pho restaurant was on there, geez.

Date: Nov. 8th, 2020 07:27 pm (UTC)From:β … it's not supposed to be used for that, if that's what it is. 403 would be much more appropriate. 406 is supposed to be for “the user agent (browser, etc.) said it could accept content in certain formats(/languages/…), but the server only knows how to provide these other formats(/languages/…)”. (Content negotiation didn't catch on much among webmasters, and returning the closest available match is usually better than a 406, so it's not that common.)
