Happy autumn equinox, everyone!
...even if here it doesn't feel very autumnal as it's predicted to be 89F today. Bleh.

Fortunately, I'll be going camping somewhere cooler from Thursday to Sunday.

Oh, I'm sorry it's so warm there. It got cool here today, with intermittent rains. We never get the autumnal colours, but at least the weather is partially cooperating.

Eh, it's kind of new-normal for the change in weather patterns over the past years. About ten years ago or so we used to have some really hot days in the middle of the summer, July and August. It seems that the start of summery weather has shifted past Memorial Day (which it used to be nearly without fail) into as late as the end of June, whereas on the other end of things, while we used to get rain starting in late October and a first frost by Thanksgiving, things are now often pretty dry through Christmas and we have few freezing days. Both summer and winter are milder. = climate change, wot? Heh.

Where are you going camping?

Local this time, just up the peninsula a ways. But it's up the hill a bit and down in among tall trees, so tends to be cooler than the valley floor.
