Those of you who know me in person may have at some point heard me mention a time when I was in Oregon in July and there was a thunderstorm so fierce that at first I thought one of the thunderclaps was an earthquake (I hadn't seen the storm begin).

Well, last night I experienced the same thing for the second time in my life. That is just not the usual weather here, ever. Thunderstorms are rare period, never mind ones that not only rattle the windows, but also the walls. Neep.
