Friend status and news. lj_maintenance may also interest you but is less necessary. But there is no excuse for not reading status. If you do it you need no longer be confused and always wonder why strange things on LJ are happening.

This has been brought to you by the fact that like ten separate people in the past two days have posted wondering why they were suddenly getting late comment emails. (not posting "I'm getting them so just now getting around to them" - obviously, that kind of post is necessary for those who don't read status, ahem.)
