I heard something rather odd (to me, anyway) on the radio earlier this afternoon: Spanish ska. (At least, I assume it was ska; it may have been punk, but there certainly seemed to be a lot of trumpets and stuff.) Said Spanish ska song also happened to include the phrase "un shot de whiskey", which just goes to show you that Spanish must have a bit of a hard time with Gaelic words.
Is there, like, a big Latino (Chicano, Tejano... whatever the most appropriate words are for the various regions) ska scene in Southern California or Texas or Mexico or Central America or South America or [wherever I've forgotten to mention]? Or is this probably something random and unique?
