Overall is "C+ - okay, not great." (spot the Futurama ref) This is mainly due to having no one to hang out with most of the weekend. Going to events by oneself is somewhat lonely and tends to boredom. The RJ Stewart Sulis ritual on Sunday afternoon was quite good, and I had a lot of fun drifting between two parties on Friday night, but aside from that, I spent a lot of time just waiting for things to start (since almost all of the workshops let out early), and being unimpressed by the other things I went to (for various reasons). I eventually left Sunday evening after deciding I wasn't all that interested in anything left on the schedule, and that I would rather go home in the evening than have to wake up in the morning to check out (even though I was way after checkout time and therefore had to pay for a night I didn't use). Good purchase: Thorn Coyle's Evolutionary Witchcraft.

i've heard from a couple other sources that it was kinda "meh"... makes me not feel so bad that i didn't cough up money i couldn't really spare to go to it, though i wish i coulda seen RJ and finally met Bella. oh well.

I was pretty unimpressed with the programming and programming staff this year. My ritual wasn't marked as closed and I didn't get the door guard I'd specifically asked for when I went in and registered, so a number of people now just think I'm an asshole about things. Not to mention the fact that everything I wanted to go to happened during two particular timeslots, and most of the rest of the stuff seemed kinda eh.

Was Bella even there? My understanding is that she left last year, which is why they sucked this year. It took them a *month* to email me back about a presentation question. A *Month*! WTF??

Interesting - the thing I had gone to instead of your ritual also was supposed to have a door guard, and didn't. I determined this when I opened the door to walk in and was snapped at. >_<

yeh, Bella was there -- she lives in Chicago now, but flew back for PCon this year. i've known her online, godz, since 1998, from the Tamson House mailing list; when i moved to Atlanta and couldn't get Lizard to get off his arse and ship me my bass and some of the other crap i had him keep for me here, she offered to go to his house and either "convince" him to do it, or ship it herself. she's hella good people.

one of the things that put me off attending PCon was the complete lack of, well, competence reflected in the website; i mean, they only got the schedule up, what, a week or two before the con? that did not fill me with confidence at all.

Sorry I missed you Tass... I was at Thorn's will class. I also have her book and will begin reading it. I got incredibly sick and am just recovering. Something got into my eyes and infected them badly...or was it that I saw a Faerie who didn't want to be seen...LOL! Not my fav P-con either, but not much different from last year, except that I missed so many people :-(

Friday night I was mostly at the Absinthe suite and in the NWC's "room for the partyers" (aka devafall, tiggrrl, and I forget who-all-else-in-the-room's Room Party), and Saturday morning I was mostly asleep after the partying. ;) So I doubt we would have crossed paths anyway..
