IBM's Token Ring network specifies a star, with all end stations attached to a device called a multistation access unit (MSAU).

No matter how many times I read that, it keeps coming across as mutilation access unit. Then again, perhaps that's an accurate description. I really don't know from networking structure and protocols...

Earlier today I kept reading the word "Irresistable" on a bag of dog treats as "Invisible". I had to wonder whether it was the treats that were invisible, or whether they were for invisible dogs (or both).

Token Ring networks? Yegads, that is about as ancient as the computer in my icon. :)

Haha, yeah. I was reading the jargon file for the umpteenth time last night and I decided to look up a token ring network just to see how it actually worked.

Yeah, but that makes sense.. there's a book called Tolkien's Ring, even.
