Nor opaque.

You mean you don't have x-ray vision?

Clearly these are a fashion accessory, which means they are generally worn on top of the head and only rarely actually over the eyes (at least in my experience). I suppose, then, that I shouldn't care that they are pointy, either, as it's not much different than wearing costume horns.

My x-ray vision only works in the presence of kryptonite.

I haven't seen the goggles, because the images are now broken. They are probably meant for some sort of "cyberpunk" costume. To many, cyberpunk means funky neon, flashing LEDs, and lots of rubber.

I personally picture a real "cyberpunk", in contrast, as a skinny tattooed skater, his cargo pants full of floppy disks, with a wifebeater T-shirt displaying a tasteless Unix joke.

Yeah, I know how they're meant. I just find opaque metal goggles with spikes pointing straight out from them to be... unusual.

You'll put your eye out!

My knee-jerk reaction here is not a good one. Even though my logical mind knows these are not meant to be worn over the eyes, and the spikes don't even point inward, my gut is still going "Ouch!"
