I'm not sure, but I think a few minutes ago I may have said "here and now is not the time and place" (for a conversation).

Grammatically, that makes "here" a time, and "now" a place, as opposed to having said "...not the place and time."

The implications are amusing.

Ah, but you're neglecting the negation in your analysis! You are explicitly stating that "here ... is not the time" and "... now is not the ... place".

Looks to me you are totally in the clear!

Actually, since it's negation we're into, oughtn't I to have said "Not the time nor the place"?

Hmm... If I were addressing a joint concept of time-and-place (which would make excellent sense in a relativistic universe), I'd be hesitant to break it apart. However, our analyses so far have seemed to consider the time and place as atomics, instead of the atomic time-and-place. And, in deed, DeMorgan's decomposition rules state that the negation of a conjunction does result in the disjunction of negations.

Personally, I think that's singularly appropriate. ;-)

Ah, but that presupposes that space and time are different things...
