RJ Stewart just wrote in a post about 'sex after death": "One helpful meditation is this: all exchanges are sexual. When you sit in a chair, you and the chair exchange. When you hug a tree (as I hope you do frequently!) you and the tree are making love...exchanging. Sex is not limited to human sexual intercourse. We have sex with everything, all the time."

Feri, wot?

I'm sure this is not literally true, but right at the moment it makes me think, "You know, every time I start to express wondering how Thread A and Thread B might best be woven into one cloth, answers start to arrive about how they already are." (The reason I say "sure this is not literally true" is that I can only think of one other specific example, and I know there's more times I've thought this question than that, but that other example happens to be the last time I thought it, so it gives the momentary impression of being "every time".)

Hmm... that's interesting. He must have a different definition of sex, because I would not say that all exchanges are sexual. Sometimes an exchange is just an exchange.

That's the point, though, to meditate on the statement "all exchanges are sexual exchanges" until the way in which it is true comes clear. All exchanges are not "human sexual intercourse", nor "sexually arousing" in the conventional sense, no. But there is a deeper meaning.

Oh ha ha! I get it now! Like tantra! an intimate exchange of energy that doesn't necessarily involve intercourse. Ah the limits of the English language!

PS This description here mirrors my understanding of how sex is thought of in Anderson Feri, hence my interjection "Feri, wot?", so it's not just RJ (who is not a Feri practitioner) being weird or anything like that.
