Woo! I get it! Another new one!

I'm pretty sure I have yet to watch an episode of MST3K where I really understood every joke in the whole movie. I just got another one though... this is from episode 203, "Jungle Goddess", or more precisely, from part 1 of "The Phantom Creeps", which is the short shown before the main feature:

[Bela Lugosi's mad-scientist character]: "You have failed, Monk!"
Tom Servo: What do you mean? I wrote Thelonious! Straight No Chaser!

I'm not sure how obscure those are, but the point is, the only reason I recognize the titles is because some instructor uses videos of "Thelonious Monk" and "Straight No Chaser" for his jazz music class... you mean I actually got something of redeeming value out of working at De Anza? ohmigosh!
