&*(!#(*&! I don't believe it. My tuberculosis test record card, a little blue business card I have faithfully kept hold of since I was first hired in October 2000 and that even made it to Canada and back, and that I was waving around at the orientation yesterday asking if I needed another TB test because I had had one performed by the District within the past 4 years... has vanished. I must have dropped it out of the file folder it was in when walking out to my car after work yesterday, or something, because I know I had it here with me after the orientation, but now it's gone. ARGH! Besides the sheer frustrating irony of this, it means I'll defnitely have to get a needle stuck in my arm. >_<

Also, the post office appears not to believe that the Registered Mail item I sent two weeks ago, at significant expense, even exists, must less has arrived at its destination. I am fucking up-to-here with trying to subscribe to the Cauldron. This is the second time I've sent something registered post and it's vanished. I guess I am not supposed to be reading that magazine. (I dunno if I will be able to get my $48 back from the post office, either.) Something that has puzzled me about their subscription rate anyway, besides the fact that it seems much higher than the cost of production and mailing could possibly justify (or maybe Mike Howard is living off the income - in which case, well maybe), is that the cost of a year's subscription (US$40) is more than the cost of four quarterly issues bought as "sample copies" (US $8 each). WTF?
