I'm not really offended, just tongue-in-cheek. I've been reading and re-reading Hitchhiker's for 14-15 years now, you see. So the idea "have you read it?" elicits mock offence ("what do I look like, a plebe?")
And now that I've overexplained that -- I thought of "wet" too, but the day's precipitation prediction was only 10% chance, so I'm going to go with channelling Douglas. *nods*
