I think I just figured out what to do with the acorn squash I bought a couple o' days ago. Yumm. And thanks for posting these, I'm enjoying the bit of fall while I sit here in 90 degree weather.

Heheh, no kidding! I do that, buy squash or some other food that I don't normally eat most of the time just because I think it looks shiny, and am then like, um, now WTF do I do with it? (Fortunately, apparently I am soon to be the recipient of enotsola's late birthday gift of an immersion/stick blender, which means I can make soup... I am not that fond of chunks of squash, but I will happily eat it pureed.)

Glad you're enjoying them. That brings me to a grand total of 2 people who give a crap ;) Sorry it's so hot down there, but I'm not terribly surprised ... Unless that's not usual even for Socal?
