I find it amusing that zoning laws may cement (so to speak) the building of that controversial mosque in New York City, although I also think it's the Right Thing in both First Amendment and Wheaton's Law terms.

Like Fenm mentioned from the article, people are trying to get it changed into a "Landmark", but they could also try proposing to change the zoning, and I'm certain there are a few other things they could try.
Honestly, I think people are being ridiculous about it. It's being covered as if it's RIGHT ON "ground zero", in which case I could understand the rage, but IT'S NOT.
