Ancient awakenings post from me:

HEY! I do, what of it? (Laugh lines, that is. They're not strong, but they
are there. I figure it's a good thing, because it means I laugh more than
average, if I got them so soon in life.)"
Mind this is October 1999, when I was barely 21.
Nothing has changed. (to quote an mst3k icon out there)
By which I mean, I can't speak for
danodea, but my own wrinkles have only gotten barely stronger since then, and it's pretty much the same ones - laugh lines. I'm 28.5 and I still get carded. People seem still to have no good idea what age I really am. I don't think people mistake me for a teenager anymore, as they used to, but then I've not recently asked. OTOH I am noticing more silver hairs now and then, but I think they are cool. I yank them out so I can look at them and verify they are silver, not because I don't want them in my head.

Date: Feb. 15th, 2007 10:15 pm (UTC)From:I get carded for liquor all the time, and (get this!)I got carded for the last carton of cigarettes Husband asked me to pick up for him and the legal age for that is 18! I thought that was a bit of a stretch for that clerk, seeing as how I'm 37. I don't think I can pass for 18 anymore, but apparently that clerk wasn't sure.
