Um... if people share them, how are they "unique"?

I don't actually have any unique interests on LJ. On DW the user base is still small enough that I do. (They're identical lists, or should be, though it's possible they've gotten slightly out of sync.)

I believe they're using the term unique in a different sense, meaning merely "not typical" or "unusual" rather than "existing as the only one or as the sole example".

Oh, I know what they mean, it's just a little annoying. (I suppose it is a valid dictionary definition, albeit several ticks down the list, but it seems to dilute the meaning, to me.)
