Bah: Navy reverses itself on gay marriages on military bases
(p.s. I know what they mean by "reverses itself", but it's still a strange-sounding phrase. Anyone else remember The Boy Who Reversed Himself?)

scarlet_bee: So there's this Anti-Homosexuality bill due to be voted on in Uganda on the 13th, which includes the death penalty for homosexuality.
There's a petition against it here, which has over 1.5million signatures on it so far - they're hoping to get to 2 million. Apparently last time this came up in 2009 it was shelved after international condemnation, as the president of Uganda said it had become a foreign policy issue.
