What can I use to convert a divx video into a format that Windows Movie Maker can deal with? What I am trying to do is chop just a few seconds out of something I used vixy to capture off YouTube. If there is some other alternate solution I am not perceiving, go to. (I don't have anything fancier, like Premiere.)

MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/).

You will need the windows version of QuickTime, which some people are strangely averse to installing. But it's open source and it handles a LOT of conversions.

I'm averse to iTunes, not QuickTime.

Of course, after downloading this and the codec pack it wanted, I've discovered that under the light of day (er... well, the light of complete sobriety) I don't actually want to keep any of it at all. But thanks!
