Early April is indeed the Greening tide. The actual equinox was almost there but not quite. Birch, sycamore, liquidambar unfurl their leaves. (Ginkgo?) Some color is appearing: wisteria, California poppies, whatever that purple stuff is down the street ;)... even our mock orange seems to be beginning to bloom now (although I think of that as a bit early).
