Blue makes me think of the ocean, white of celestial things, and green of the forest, so, in my mind, green is what I would associate with fae things, but I don't know if you would see if the same way. ;)
Exactly my associations in terms of Land/Sea/Sky. Of the three green would be the one I'd most associate with Faery, true, although for the same reason I kind of want white - Celestial kinds of things. AUGH
(okay, I like all those colors and every time I am faced with that choice, like for my wedding... I usually do get all of them. Had a white LED hairpiece for the wedding proper with a green LED piece that mimicked fireflies inside the lantern that I held in lieu of a bouquet, and wore a blue LED hairpiece to the afterparty).
Ah. Well, if I'd had to go with just one of my three hairpieces, I liked the green one best because it's my favorite color and I thought a firefly lantern was super awesome. If this is for your garden, the firefly angle would be really cool, I think.
My second choice vote would be blue because it reminds me of unicorns. I don't know why.
White: * It goes with everything; * You can use it as a menorah over Channukah; * You can make it look like the White Tree of Gondor; * You can hang little fairies from it for May Day; * You can hang little Father Christmases from it for Christmas; * You can hang little demons from it to deter door-to-door evangelists; * It will put out the maximum amount of useful light for illuminating nearby plants and pathways!
The White Tree of Gondor actually did come to mind, believe it or not. Although in my case perhaps more like Galathilion ;) - I was sad there wasn't a golden yellow so I could have Telperion and Laurelin.
*headscratch* nothing to do with Harry Potter. I just don't like the red one and red lights are not normally a color I'd use to decorate with, except perhaps sparingly around Christmas. (If it had been, there'd have been no question: blue for Ravenclaw, of course.)

Third thought: Blue's prettiest.
