I must be what passes for a Luddite among my extremely geeky peer group:

1. I do not do MySpace.

2. I do not do Facebook.

3. I only use IM for talking to enotsola.

4. The big shocker: I do not have a cell phone or equivalent. (This always seems to throw customer-service types for a loop. They stutter amusingly for a moment while they skip to the next personal-information question.)

Hey kiddo, I'm right there with you. I finally gave in on the cell phone ,but only because it was required for my job (RN on call). I absolutely refuse to text message; I don't IM, I too have never been to Myspace (aka pedophile central) or facebook and can't see myself going there anytime soon. Joining livejournal was a huge leap for me, done with much profdding from the misha.

I was all like, "kiddo? who is this person calling me kiddo?" and then I noticed the name-drop of the_misha and looked at your icon and your journal and I have FINALLY worked out who you are that you have been commenting here now and again. Duh. Hi Liz! (I like run-on sentences!)

And don't fret-I call lots of people "kiddo". oddly, most of my friends are either 10+ years younger or 10+ years older tham me. Hmmm.
