I must be what passes for a Luddite among my extremely geeky peer group:
1. I do not do MySpace.
2. I do not do Facebook.
3. I only use IM for talking to
enotsola.
4. The big shocker: I do not have a cell phone or equivalent. (This always seems to throw customer-service types for a loop. They stutter amusingly for a moment while they skip to the next personal-information question.)

Date: Oct. 9th, 2007 02:17 am (UTC)From:I used to YIM and AIM tons of people. My buddy lists have shrunk drastically in the past couple years. There are so many people who want to do less conversing and more age/sex/location checks that I just can't deal with them all. Even those above the net fodder sometimes only want to argue or condescend in order to feel smart. Usually those who have something worht sharing are soft spoken or at least well spoken (walk softly and cary a BIG BRAIN!), and when they do argue they back up their opinions and remain courteous.
I love the Internet but hat the people on it. LOL Just kidding!!!!! I've just been feeling cynicle all day!
