Everyone in Seattle and environs OK? Nobody drowned or crushed under falling timber or anything?

I'll chime in with a 'not dead!'

The same cannot be said, it would seem, for a certain tree limb.

Indeed. I thought, since I had made a post regarding the storm, that any real report as a comment would be superfluous.

I died, but then the Flying Spaghetti Monster resurrected me. Of course, he forgot to take the tree out of my chest, so I died again. This time, he took the tree out, then tried to resurrect me, but forgot to plug up the hole, so I died again. Then he got bored and did something else, so Cthulhu came by, and he brought me back as a Deep One. Then some investigators killed me, and I rolled a new character, who ironically had exactly the same stats as this one. So I gave him all of the same abilities, but a new name: Senor Vorpal Kickasso!

Yeah, we's all good over here in Johnson City. :) The kitties were way unimpressed by the wind, tho, and they were running marathons around the living room, up and down the hall, and across my bed all night, which was less than amusing. By some dumb luck, I'm right at the edge where two grids meet, while the people across the street (and the rest of the way down the expressway! a large chunk of Milwaukie!) had no power, I was with power, and thusly with heat (yay) and with alarm clock (boo). :)

Yeah, our house on Yorktown is kind of like that, except in reverse - the houses on the other side of Fremont will have power when we don't. :p (OTOH, being on the same piece of the grid as a fire station is a Good Thing when there are rolling blackouts, because that piece doesn't get shut off for obvious reasons.) We're about the only house on the block with gas generators, though, so when there's a power outage, we're still able to run the microwave, TV, refrigerator, and heater blower.

Only 599,999 people to go!

Actually, supposedly it was supposed to be under 50,000 by midnight tonight. Not sure where they are with that. I feel bad for anyone who's still without power--it's COLD out!
