Looking at today's APOD gave me a weird, almost vertigo-like sensation of motion (although not quite that strong). It was like I was feeling the individual identities of the two main galaxies pictured, as well as the smaller, but distinguishable one at bottom center of the frame, and their whirling motion through space, combined with the star-threads (...communications links, like) between a number of the other stars (which I suppose are all in the Milky Way, although the descriptive text only mentions the ones with spikes specifically), and a faint sense of the vast beings that soar through the empty spaces, their awarenesses touching and overlapping with those of the stars and galaxies.
Like whoa, dude.
