complaining about tv

damn the NYE "bumpers" between the shows on the special tonight on Cartoon Network which meant that my carefully-timed-to-when-shows-actually-start VCR stopped timer recording 30-60 seconds too soon thus chopping off the last punch line on tonight's episode of Space Ghost which was the first new one in like a year!!! AAAAUGH!!!

And now I have to put up with another of the only four episodes of "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" that there are, and which because of this I have seen them all about eight or ten times. >_

In this case they weren't exactly "commercials" - they were themed content, just not the shows themselves. But it meant that the spaces between shows were different and things didn't start right on the dot (as far as my VCR is concerned). I was watching it at the time, since the TV can tune the cable as well, and that's how I knew right as it was happening. I knew I should have just manually recorded it, but I didn't know if I'd be right there to press record and stop. Ah well.
