The Worms (*whine*)

The Arrogant Worms are going to be in Kitchener on December 18th, and I won't be! Waaaaaaah!

Slightly less worse ("we won't say that we're better, it's just that we're less worse") is that they'll be in Ontario in August when I will be there -- but out in Ottawa and in Parry Sound, both of which are a tad far from Kitchener, so it's more like "that sucks, but oh well, I couldn't have gotten there anyway" than a sense of a big missed opportunity.

lol.. This remark just really brightened my day. There's something heartwarming about knowing someone out there has a random friendly crush on me. :) (then again, you may have to throw down with Crow... *grin*)

I don't actually own any Worms albums, myself. I was introduced by hearing enotsola and shishain sing "Carrot Juice is Murder" around a campfire in 1999 (when I first met them both in the flesh), but I still have only mp3s and not any actual plastic discy thingies. However, the latest album "Semi-Conducted" attracts me, since I am quite fond of Tom Leherer's symphony-backed versions of a few of his songs (featured on Songs and More Songs by Tom Lehrer, although the one of "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" appeared on the Dr. Demento 20th Anniversary Collection as well), and I wonder if the Arrogant Worms benefited as much as he did from having a symphony behind them.

I can sing a perfect rendition of "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate".

With my old roommate and the guitarist in my old band, we can do it in three part harmony :)

Yeah, yeah, well, I filked "Pirate"! (actually, I did, really) And my dad can beat up... er...wait.

I can sing it... I don't know how perfectly. It depends on how perfect my voice is at all (which isn't very).
